| Unique
Architecture -
The Sentry Power Tower is uniquely engineered unlike any other
Remote Power Management solution available. The Power Tower
features high density - 16 power outlets - for Remote Power
Management. Additionally, you can reboot all 16 outlets, not
just some of them. The Power Tower supports up to a 30 Amp
current distributed across its 16 outlets - a higher amperage
load than any other solution.
|
| Power-Up
Sequencing - the Power Tower prevents an in-rush
power overload. When power is suspended and restored to the
Power Tower, the 16 IPMs power-up in four-second intervals. An
LED indicator at each power outlet signifies the status of the
IPM, notifying the onsite technician when power has resumed to
the outlet. The power-up sequencing feature precludes all 16
outlets from powering-on 16 outlets at once, averting a power
overload spike and a blown fuse or tripped circuit breaker in
your data center.

|
| Input
Current Monitor - The Power Tower features an Input Current
Monitor to precisely measure and report the current draw in Amps
that your devices are pulling from all of the Power Tower's
outlets. The Input Current Monitor indicates the current amount
being drawn both on-site (on the Power Tower) and remotely
(through the user interface). A digital display indicator built
into the Power Tower provides on-site installation engineers a
real-time Load Sense measurement in amps for all 16 power
outlets. Additionally, a network engineer can remotely monitor
that same amperage draw through the Power Tower's remote control
module.

|
On Sense -
Individual LED indicators at each power outlet verifies for the on-site
installation engineer that the outlet is turned on or off, allowing
voltage to flow through the power outlet. Similarly, an indicator in the
remote control module notifies the remote user whether power is
available or unavailable at each outlet for his selected network device.
Serial data signaling between each of the 16 outlets and the remote
control module updates the software interface with each change to the
Load Sense or ON Sense features.

| Remotely
Accessing The Power Tower -
Managing the Power Tower from a remote location is made easy
through its companion Sentry control module. Simply connect the
Sentry Power Tower to a Sentry control unit and manage all 16
equipment units in a remote equipment rack or cabinet. Remote
communications to the Sentry control module are established via
RS-232 serial connection, modem (out-of-band), or Ethernet
(in-band) for Telnet, SNMP
management or HTML (web interface). Each Sentry control unit is
capable of managing one, two, three or four Power Towers -
allowing Remote Power Management for up to 64 servers, hubs,
routers and other devices.

Sentry's
Username/Password Per Port Security interface
structure protects each individual power
receptacle. This allows several customers to
securely perform power control operations on a
single Power Tower. |
